Mick Thomson used to be good, but now he is absolutely TERRIBLE on guitar. Jim Root is pretty good though.
As for the best, look no further than Eric Johnson. Cliffs of Dover is crazy.
Bucket head doesnt count...too easy...My choice by a long shot would def. be dimebag...that p.o.s. that took pantera away from us didnt deserve to die that easy!!!
