Montgomery's Jubilee Cityfest

Here's the thing: I've been a 3DG fan for about two years, now, and I HAVEN'T BEEN TO A CONCERT! *gasp* I know. I had been promised a chance to see the most amazing band ever last year at the Spring Jam in Huntsville, but as always, things came up and the promise omitted. My boring life went on. Instead of moping, though, I recruited another fan. I went up to my musically challenged friend, shoved some Three Days Grace into her CD player, and now we make up a dastardly duo.
Last week, I was once again promised a chance to see Three Days Grace in concert. I didn't take my mom seriously, this time. However, her behavior towards the subject was different than last year's, so I allowed myself a small hint of hope.
Come Friday, May 23rd, my mom handed me the tickets, and I immediately called up my friend. All the way from our tiny hometown to Montgomery, we're driving my mom nuts with non-stop 3DG. I hardly notice the time when we get to Jubilee. It's only 8 and 3DG started at 10:30. I couldn't wait that long, but my mom and Aunt (who we had met at Jubilee) wanted to see Lady Antebellum, a band my cousin had soundboarded for. They were pretty good, but I'm not much of a country fan. While we were waiting on Lady Antebllum, I was browsing the little info pamphlet and found Lynam. From the description, they sounded interesting, so me and my bud decided to check them out. I ended up buying one of their albums.
Finally, 10:30 arrived, and me and my friend had managed to get a decent spot in the crowd in front of the stage, leaving the old folks to their funnel cakes. I was so anxious, and when the stage lights came on, and Neil stepped up to the drum set, I was ready to tackle my mom and buy her a new convertible for bringing me to the concert. I stayed put, though; choosing my favorite band over my favorite mom.
By the time the concert was over, I had jumped, screamed, and sang until I could hardly walk back to my mom. I bought a bottle of water, and when we got back to the car, my friend passed out in the backseat. I couldn't sleep, despite how tired I was. In the beginning I had had my doubts about the concert, but the guys had met and surpassed my expectations. I was awake until we got home at 1 a.m., and spent three more hours wishing I could relive the experience. I was thankful I had remembered my camera so now the memories can be refreshed whenever I need them. I have no doubts that I will be going to another concert VERY soon. It was my first concert EVER, and I loved every minute of it. Unfortunately, I won't be getting any birthday presents. My mom said that my new cell phone and the concert were my presents. Oh, well. I told her if I pitched a fit on my birthday, she could call me a spoiled brat and show me the pics and videos I had taken at the concert.

That concert was a blast! I'm definately going to try to go to another one: just me and you, in my car, rocking out, and then jamming. Sound good?

Oh, yeah, thanks for telling them how tired I was! XP lol

See ya when you get back from Florida!
