its been a while hasn't it? well i wud just like to say to all of u who positively and negatively commented on my poems that i have posted here you have helped me blossom into a published poet xD i forgot the name of the book but i wrote a poem for an assignment and made 3 teachers cry i was asked to do a voice over on the school news. and i had to illustrate the original copy of my poem to be framed in the school office and its on the school website xD here is the poem its about nine eleven
The worst of intentions poured over us.
As they crashed into the towers they wrecked the lives of thousands.
When they collapsed, lives were crushed along with everything you believed was real.
Grief so strong it still stains the faces of Americans today.
The horror washed over us like the smoke and ashes as they fell.
What once soared high above the ground,
Was brought to its knees by the hatred of the actions made by radical people.
Ten years later, bodies have yet to be found.
People, who were there to save others, went down in the flames.
Stitches could never heal the wounds we have gained because of this.
On the Tenth Anniversary
We stumble to our feet as we rebuild the towers,
Our nation,
And the lives that were smothered beneath the smoke,
To all of the Families and loved ones lost,
We will not forget you.
We will remember not only you, but the innocence of your life that was taken away.
All because of that day…
