Hey everyone,
Wow! What a tour that was across Canada! So many highlights! We
took our hockey equipment with us, and we actually got to play quite
a bit. We played a show in Quebec City in front of over 20,000
people at the Red Bull Crashed Ice Event. It was about -20C and I
couldn't believe how many Quebecers braved the cold to be the first
in front of the stage....like 6 hours before we went on! It wasn't
the easiest of gigs, but we fellow Canadians were up for the
challenge. They put heaters on stage, but during soundcheck, we
noticed that the change in temperature was throwing the guitars out
of tune, so we had to shut down the heaters...so for the show,
we couldn't really feel our arms and legs, but at least we were in
tune! We had to put on a killer rock show...frost bite or no frost
bite. For any of you that saw the event on TSN, it was even more
intense live. One of the organizers asked Adam and I if we were
interested in trying out the track (For those that don't know what
the Crashed Ice event is, it's basically a full contact downhill
derby on an icy luge track through the streets of Quebec City, raced
by guys in hockey equipment). We were up for it, but after the
organizers checked with their lawyers, they decided that there was
too much liability to have the two of us get injured on the track
hours before we had to get onstage. 
From there we headed west...through extreme cold, but the shows were
amazing!! I love touring my home country...the fans were so into the
show, that it blew us away. We spent two days in Lake Louise, which
is a mountain ski resort in Alberta. I skied both days and played
hockey with the guys on an area of Lake Louise that actually had been
shoveled off for a hockey rink. Barry went on a day long snowmobile
trip with a bunch of the crew guys into the mountains. The pictures
look awesome...we're gonna post some pics of the Canadian tour
shortly. The skiing was great...I've never skied powder like that
before. I wanted to try snowboarding, but I figured that I should
stick to what I know and not get hurt right before this huge US
tour. I've been known to be a little accident prone at times.
We also had back to back shows in Vancouver, and we were there for
Superbowl Sunday...what a game! Nothing like a big upset in the
moment of truth. (To our fans in New England...sorry about your
loss). Vancouver was a nice break from the blistering winter of the
rest of the tour. It was really mild weather...but no rain, which
Van is known for. What a great city...like nowhere else in the world.
Thanks to everyone that came out the shows...you made it a very
memorable experience. We've got a few days off at home in Toronto.
I'm staying in shape by shoveling snow....we have a ton here! But
I'm excited for the fact that I'm gonna drop off my hockey equipment
and grab my golf clubs since we're about to head into the deep
south...see you in Florida!!!

neil that's great! trust me, we enjoyed the shows as much as you guys did! the toronto show on january 18th was AMAZING! we can't wait for you guys to come back around our way! we love it when you tour your home country too! and i heard about that crashed ice thing, good on ya for showing some canadian chops and braving the weather! too bad about the luge though, that would've been one hell of a ride! kinda suck you couldn't do it 'cause you're a rockstar and all

glad you guys got to play some hockey, you HAD to on a canadian tour though, it's practically the law! lmao! learned all you know from sundind didn't you? God, know what you mean about all thesnow though. another winter storm today. what's that? like 2 in a week? but i feel your pain, i walk to school everyday, in that weather, and then shovel the driveway after 
but have fun on the big US tour! i know you'll be great! but just don't make canada wait so long next time eh? i know you wont

I really appreciate the free concert in QC, especially for coming out in sweaters and play such a great show for us at -20, It was really amazing. My girlfriend loves you guys and one of her dreams was to see you guys play live, She was so excited and happy to see you guys, we came out a few hours before the show to get upfront, about 5 minutes before the show started an inconsiderate fellow stomped on my girlfriends feet we missed have the concert because of it, but we came back in about have way threw, and we had a great time considering. Thanks so much for the show and your dedication to your fans to do what you did during the tour, hope the Canadian weather didn't scare you away because I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys again, and taking my girlfriend back to see you guys for more then 30minutes
. So plz don't forget, us Canadians love you.

wow what a way to come back with a new blog and much info. You guys are absolutely amazing! I just went to the show in Rockford, Illinois. THAT FIRE WAS MOTHER F.UCKING AMAZING!!! And you, Neil, on the drums omg you just blew me the f.uck back! lol. That's too bad about you and Adam not being able to participate in the Crashed Ice event. lol that would've been quite a site and I would be cherring my a.ss off for you guys and you guys only. I hope to see you guys again March 27th. Cant wait to see you guys again for my second time in less that a few months or even a year, which is so great! How is little Violet doing? She must be such a great little bundle of joy to have in your life! But it must be hard and suck to be gone away from your little girl and wife, but I guess it's worth it to make sooo many fans so happy (
like me ) and for the people that waited outside for four hours in -20 degree weather, in Rockford I wanted to wait outside at 10 am the day before the show started but my mom wouldn't let me lol figures. Keep Doin What You Do Best man!!!!

in calgary, one of the concerts, it was like -40 for a WEEK!!!!!

The Canadian Tour
I wish i was there at the canadian tour. Sadly, i live in kansas city, holding the worst reputation for drivers, in my opinion. Still, i would have loved to see 3DG in concert!!! They truly are the best band ever!!!!!! And plus, Adam is so freakn HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha, thats awesome. I think one thing I love about Three Days Grace is that they're soo down to earth(from what they sound like and stuff). I got to meet them when they came to Winnipeg this year, it was honestly the best night of my life. The show rocked to!! But Breaking Benjamin shoulda been there to, like in Fargo. That was an awesome show too. Can't wait for the new album

it's nice 2 here from you Neil. sounds like you had a lot fun. wow sounds like Canada's really awesome (besides the freezing temp.) i heard that Vancouver is a really beatuiful city. i just love that outdoor fresh air in with a bunch of pine trees; esspecially when your always surrounded by city with that city air so every time me and my family get a chance to vacation in Orgen or some place that theres open space, it's so nice to be there away from the rush.
I would love to go to one of your guy's concerts but there sometimes so for away =(, so at least i get to see you guys one television or like on the DVD you guys put out. btw: it was awesome.
