Okay, this topic consists in posting about your personal musical discoveries. It could be one of your fav bands/songs, a band/songs you've just discover or a band/song you wanna share with us.
Just share music with all of us...the aim is to share and learn, so let's have fun !

Aww that sucks...
Been over 18 for a while now.
Nice
would you mind chatting with me? Wait, how old are you? I'm not supposed to talk with anyone older than 18 sooo...
Hard rock, soft rock, some choral, lots of a cappella (mostly college), indie rock, some country, and any orchestral soundtrack pieces.
@Todays Regret
I'll check out their third album then. May I ask what kind of music you DO normally listen to?
Their third album is certainly a lot harder than their first two, with songs like "In Cauda Venenum" and "Mustard Gas". I don't normally listen to stuff like jazz or classical or even banjo, but I love to death every song they have put out so far, just from a technical standpoint.
@Todays Regret
I listened to them. For the type of music they play, they're pretty good. Not exactly in my comfort zone (I usually listen to metal, screamo, punk, dub step (can't remember if it's one word or two) and hard rock) but, I think I can make an exception lol.
So, they're not really new, but I love New Medicine. I was kind of surprised that I like them, since they're more on the punk side. There are a few songs I'm not so fond of, like American Wasted and Amen, but everything else is amazing! My favorite songs are Rich Kids, the Takeover, Resolve to Fight, and Little Sister.
Haha ok, cool.
I'll check 'em out when I get a chance.
Ever heard of Blaqk Audio?
It's Casey's (their lead singer) side project, now his full time gig. Check em out on YouTube. It's some really awesome and unique stuff.
I know who The Recieving End of Sirens are. Never heard of The Dear Hunter though...
I've posted about it a couple times, but one can never post enough about The Dear Hunter. Fantastic group. Casey Crescenzo is a genius (if you've ever heard The Receiving End of Sirens, he is their lead singer).
Oh btw another band to check out is Chiodos... I've been listening to them for a few months now and think they're really good. Sooooo yaaaa lol
Does anyone read this anymore???
umm I have been listening to a band called 36 Crazyfists for about 3 years now so I don't think that counts as "recent" lol but they are one of my fav bands and alot of people don't know who they are so I thought I'd mention them
btw YouTube is the easiest way to check them out
I just discovered Black Veil Brides. Who else listens to them?
@Loveisguitars
I have to disagree with you on that, sorry.
Lately I've been listening to a lot of Yellowcard, specifically their new album When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes.
Now I know they aren't much like TDG, but, if you're in a mellow mood, they have a lot of great songs (a lot from WYTTSY are inspirational...not that awful Christian inspirational crap though). I currently have "Be the Young" stuck in my head.

There's another song I recently discovered, "The River" by Good Charlotte featuring M. Shadows and Synyster Gates. It's pretty popular I guess, but I'd never heard it before this past week.

@EMhrtMSK HELLZ Yeah! Josh Turner and...Toby Keith? And Brad Paisley?
Mmm Josh Turner. Hell yes.
I re-discovered Josh Turner after 9 years. I used to love the guy...back when I was 7. I dug out my old "Long Black Train" album, and instantly got back into his music. His deep, lucious voice is just too much to pass up. I even bought another CD at wal-mart the other day. It's called "Icon". And it's a mix of his "best" or most "well-known" songs. Come on, country (southern, western, whatever it's called in other countries...) people, rednecks, tell me you know who he is! xD Ok, little dramatic. Sorreh.
happy that you heard it!!!
@tdg1992- well.... its ok.. i kinda like it.. just not my style.. good song though!

Hey everyone,
Let's just see what happens...
This topic hasn't been updated in a while...so I figured I'd try and kickstart it again with some music I'd like to share with everyone. Maybe some of the newbies here are interested in anything we've shared so far or maybe they would like to share something.
The band I'm sharing is called, "Rains"...I don't think they're too well known, but they deserve a listen...or two
I really think a lot of you guys here might like it.

You're welcome.
I listened to Cold War Kids a little, well, they are not bad and I can listen to music like that but... nothing special (for me)
@giedriote
I've heard about Black Stone Cherry, but never really took the time to listen to them until you put their music out there...and they sound pretty good! Love their guitar sound. So thanks for sharing that.
If anyone's interested, here's a different sounding band known as, Cold War Kids.

Well, I know that Soundgarden is popular but I wasn't sure about Pop Evil because their most popular song on youtube have only 1 million views...

Anyway, I wanted to say about Black Stone Cherry and Local H
soundgarden and pop evil are really popular bands
Yesterday I found some really good music... Soundgarden, Local H, Pop Evil, Black Stone Cherry...
Black Stone Cherry seems to be great but underrated band... I love their sound! I'm going to listen to whole discography!

I found this band a few months ago, it's unsigned band called A Minute Away...

I think they should be more popular, what do you think?
SixxAm Van Nuys awesome song
liste to it if you do not know it
@PainSavvy You're welcome
for me it is
@TDG1992
How exactly is it disrespect? I don't understand your thinking. People have to move on! Does the timeline really matter that much? Just how long was Dave suppose to wait? I really don't get it...I don't see the disrespect...
BTW @Kurt
Hey, I've never heard about José Gonzàlez before! I kinda like it! Mostly just a voice and guitar. Simple. Thnx a lot for sharing!
i did not tell that he shouldn't continue(do you read what i write?)
i said that it was disrespect that he formed TWO bands the same year
You consider yourself such a Cobain fan but you are so far away from his thinking about music. He'd probably have laughed at you when you said Dave shouldn't have continued. Then again, without Dave, you wouldn't know Nirvana and he's f***ing awesome in everything he does and there's nothing you can do about it.
I don't see things the way you do. But it doesn't matter, I'll let it go.
did i told that he should wait 5 years?
what the f*** do you say?
yeah the same year for me it means that he did not respect the messia of music(Kurt Cobain)
To form a new band the same year Cobain died is not a mark of disrespect or what. It's just how life goes. Dave was/is talented, he would not wait like 5, 10 or 15 years to create a new band ! That sounds crazy.
It doesn't mean he forgot Cobain...
hey Nirvana is the greatest band ever(i told that for joke that he was jealous)
Avenged is my third fav band(three days grace my fav Nirvana my secong fav)
but i did not find right that he formed a band the same year that Kurt(the greatest artist ever)died
i have talked about this again with Kurt but i am still pissed of for what Dave did
@TDG1992:
How can you say s*** like that Dave was Jealous. Dave was the missing link for Nirvana when bleach came out and Kurt knew it thats y he found Dave. He knew he had something special when he found Dave even said it many times in interviews. I dont know if you can get your head out of A7X'es ass long enough to realize how important and how great Dave was/is but lets just say hes made more contributions to music than you can comprehend.
There's a guy who you all should listen to, it's José Gonzàlez. He's just an outstanding artist with (almost) only his voice and his nylon-string guitar. You probably heard one of his songs or covers in Red Dead Redemption, or One Tree Hill or House MD or some commercial. Anyway, listen to this:

Yeah that Synyster Gates is not the best guitarist:-)
Got any more stupid and false comments?
