no defently not there not emo. it scares me to even think about them even being emo. there songs come from the heart. it has nothing to do with cutting themselfs or any thing. and it sure has nothing to do with geting all dosed up on drugs or any thing. and again there songs come the heart and any one who says there emo shouldnt be on this web site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys are definitely not emo! When Gontier sings, he sounds like a guy.... Typically for emo bands, you can't tell the gender of the damn singer...

Me and my friend just laugh when we see/hear someone call them emo. I don't even know how they could mistake them for emo.

Primal Fury is right on here. both with the band and the whole emo posers thing. some of TDG's lyrics could sorta be considered emo (talking about the emo style of music, not clothing), but in the end there is a silver lining in their music that is absent from the emo bands. so it can be depressing but at the same time hopeful.

definitely not. You mean to say all bands with negative lyrics are emo? that covers 95% of all rock bands. they dont even look emo. even calling them goth might be pushing it, but thats definitely better that calling them emo. In fact, i saw almost no emos at their concert in Winnipeg yesterday.

Three Days Grace fall into the catergory of alternative hard rock/ post grunge. They are most defanatly not emo. They don't whinge enough for them to possably fall into it ^_~. I have never seen them were a strippy shirt or spray on pants. Emo now is just a hollow fashion sence that was taken up by scene kids that is just nerd with spray on pants and a huge side fringe.

MCR is not emo.
And neither is 3dg.
Just because it involves death or sadness doesn't automatically make it emo.

They have lyrics that are about life WAY different then emo. And MCR isnt emo either. I hate when stuff that is deep is labled "Emo".

in the 80s-90s rock became a little bit more emocional, then some people called emo,(emo=is a short of emocional rock, with deepers lyrics) thats all!!!! its not a big deal isnt?

ok,tnx for answers... once i heard some singles,i thought it's normal rock,so i downloaded their first album(i alwys do that before buying any music) and in tag was written that it's emo...so i spent some time comparing 3DG with other emo groups and found out there are lot of same things bout them...so i had to ask..i really like their music and even if it would be emo,i'd buy it...i just had to know the truth tnx again

i hate this stupid f***ing topic. they're not emo, ROCK ALTERNATIVE GRUNGE. that's their genre.

Some of their texts are emo, but not all and, not most of them. Their music is not emo, as for me. But anyway it's fantastic, and I won't stop listening 3DG even if I'm not right and it's 100% emo.

Nowadays all rock music is emo, I think...

Theyr 100 percent not emo. their alternative, grunge, metal, rock. Their songs help you reflect to life, not give you an example to go kill yourself or to cut ur self, their songs help you change your life, HENCE the name 3 days grace(Adam sais" three days to pay a due or to change something"). so their totaly not emo. some stupid ppl think they r. they might look emo, but dont judge a book by its cover.
