These are my 2 favorite bands in the world so I'm really loving this thread. I will say this about three days grace, most of the songs I hear from them I love immediately. Breaking Benjamin I hated when I first heard them, however I started listening to them more and started to hear the little things that make their songs so great. Both bands have great harmonies which I love when I listen to any band. Whenever I have to choose between the 2 bands on my Ipod I usually go to Breaking Benjamin first. I love playing to both bands on guitar. polyamorous, forget it, and breakdown are my favorite bb songs to play to, while never too late, it's all over, and just like you are my favorite 3dg songs to play. Sorry if I offend any of my fellow 3dg fans but Breaking Benjamin's songs give me a feeling that 3dg doesn't. That being said, never too late and one x really hit me more than most songs.

Ok I have listened to BB now. I am quite fond of their music. However I find I can relate to TDG better. Also I like Adam's voice better....there's just something about it.

I love BB, but their songs don't grab me like 3DG.
The only BB songs that come close are Diary of Jane and Breath.
I just can't relate to BB's songs, and I love EVERY SINGLE ONE of 3DG's songs.

TDG hands down better than BB. It's no contest all of there song should be on the air. BB just can't compete with this band. All of TDG songs have HEART!!!!!

I like both the bands. I relate to and love all of three days grace's songs. I cannot say the same for Breaking Benjamin, but I did hear them first and I do love their music. BB also has more songs and albums out so they have a slight advantage however TDG takes it.

It's amazing how everybody compares these two bands together, no matter what.

Breaking Benjamin will always be better in my opinion. They just rock so much harder and have so much more energy. Sorry, 3DG, you're my second fave!!

I just saw the two bands together at a show a couple nights ago (as well as Seether). I have to say that they were all quite wonderful. One thing I can say for BB is that Ben has incredible stage presence. At one point he was actually crowd surfing. Pretty fantastic if I do say so. He talked to the crowd, tossed water out, and even got in with them. He was really good at keeping our attention.

3DG had a better visual show, however. Their lights and pyrotechnics were fantastic and Adam was really out there working the crowd, talking, getting involved.

As far as actual music...I know a lot more 3DG songs. I have all of BB's albums, but I haven't really listened to them that much for some reason. I tend to get distracted easily so that's not really shocking.

At this point I don't think I could really say one is BETTER than the other...but I can say that I currently PREFER Three Days Grace. Woot. ^_^

dude i went to 3dg concert w/ BB. I have to say there was some real competition comin from Breakin Benjamin when they were on stage. I have to admit they got pretty close to takin 3dg off my #1 band

obviously 3DG, well I mean I only started listen to BB becoz of them too, I like them but still 3DG.

well there're my top 2 favs with tdg making it in 1st place. but... bb has this thing where any of their songs can get stuck in your head for hours while tdg's dont... at least for me. hmm.... i think bb also has some weirdish lyrics that dont make sense sometimes, while tdg has many meaningful things (although bb's "forever" has soooo much meaning) when i think of tdg i think of the following words: amazing and depressing. with bb, i think: diabolical and destruction

Breaking Benjamin bumps but they got nothing on 3DG. I gotta say though i think they will be fun to watch as an opening band for 3DG in this upcoming tour though.

In my opinion Three Days Grace hands down. I don't realy listen to Breaking Benjamin so I can't realy make a good or valid comparosen. But I still think TDG are the best.

Yea, and honestly i thought the name sounded really cool even before i knew one of them was named ben. Even if it doesnt stand for anything it is a cool sounding name. plus, without Ben the band wouldnt be worth anything considering he writes all the music, all the lyrics, sings and plays guitar. The guitarist and drummer left a band they were in that already had a record deal in order to play with ben because his song writing was so good.

I would also like to comment on the BB name comment. Benjamin was the one who put the band together, and if the band didn't agree with the name, then it wouldn't be Breaking Ben. So the band had to agree with the name in order for it 2 be that way. So don't criticize Ben. They're a great band. listen 2 em, ull be impressed

I think Breaking Ben has better songs and are kinda better than 3DG, but 3DG has such awesome lyrics. They cut right to the bone, and thats y i luv em!!! My step sister actually personally knew BB. They went 2 Bishop Hoban High in Pa, and my sis went to Bishop O'Reily, but they new eachother!!! How awesome is that?
