I loved that concert!!! It was the best thing to ever happen in my whole entire life!!! I screamed, I shouted, some guy spilt a lot of beer on me but it was still freakin awesome!!! You guys frickin rock! Love, Ashlee!
u guys were amazing but i so badly wanted 2 meet u guys 2. LOL i lost my voice from screaming so loud to every word to every song at the concert and was also deaf from the 3dg haters behind me. THREE DAYS GRACE 4 LIFE!!!!!!!! o:)
So basically I have never been to a bad concert, but this one definitely topped them all! I wish I would have been able to stay for autographs and pictures but I had to get back to Rochester for school the next day. Long drive. But I just wanted to let you know that these guys all kicked ass!!! I would definitely love to see another one of these concerts!
yes, this was my first concert, but it was awesome! i lost my voice from screaming so loud and my ears were ringing all night, but it was so worth it! all the bands were great but three days grace just blew everyone else out of the water. they sounded just as good live as they did on the cd! i was amazed to say the least! ♥
First of all, the guys are still as nice as ever. They still take the time to sign autographs and take photos, even if you didn't get the Meet N Greet tix...so thanks guys!!!
My friend and I drove to Duluth from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area because I absolutely had to see the show! (I'm a big fan of all the bands that played.) I've missed the shows the last two times they were in Minneapolis/St. Paul due to personal reasons, but I've been a fan since I first saw them open for 3 Doors Down wwwwaaaayyyyyyyy back in the summer of '03. I've seen them perform three times since then and never had anything that bothered me until this show.
The guys played great!!! I always love watching Neil because he's always doing cute little things like twirling his sticks...but I don't think he appreciates that I call it cute, but hey, I'm a girl! lol Anyway, he was rocking it pretty hard cus I could see the platform shaking during most of the songs and he always plays with a lot of intensity and energy. Brad, Barry and Adam all played wonderfully too...and I love the way they would play off each other on stage. The intensity and energy the guys have on stage is always great.
Everything sounded good, looked good...except for some of Adam's singing. There were some songs where he would half talk, half scream through the songs. Yes, I realize that they've been on tour forever and do shows practically every night so it's a strain on his voice. And maybe it's just his new style of singing and it makes the songs a little edgier, but I don't think it suits his voice very well. Sometimes he was off pitch and it sounded like it was a struggle to finish some songs.
I don't mean to bash on Adam or anything because love his voice! I just want him to take good care of it so he'll be around to sing for a LONG TIME! So if it means touring a little less so he can rest his voice, I can deal with that. I mean, they came through here at least twice through the past year...seems like a lot of touring to me. What do you think?
to start off, all the bands playing in this concert were the perfect match up. i love each and everyone of them but three days grace stood out the most. i have been waiting a long time to hear them in concert and finally got the chance. the only thing missing was my best friend to share the expierience cause she got me into all these bands to start with. my favorite part of the whole thing was when i got one of adams picks he threw into the crowd, all my friends were so jealous of me and they cused me out because they wanted it. i deserved it because i dove on the ground for it. back on topic now, i liked all the interaction with the fans. it was nice to know it wasnt just another gig. thanx TDG. you made my life.
This show rocked. From the very first chord to the very last, the entire show was great.
I drove up to Duluth from the Minneapolis area- and t'was a must. I caught my first peek of BB and TDG in Charleston, SC back in March. Was on a golf trip and some of the guys wanted to check out Nickelback (another great show, btw). Due to a long list of unfortunate events, we missed BB and 1/2 of TDG. I'm glad I got the chance to see the whole gig. Wow. I thought everything sounded great, looked great and felt great.
I grew up near Duluth and had never been to a concert there. I was a little down when I learned floor tickets were gone, but the DECC was a fairly small place, so even though we were stuck in the stands, the sound was still great and I still felt like I was there for everything and didn't miss a thing.
Love the new album! Thanks for the great show!
First things first. I brought my 14 year old daughter, who is a huge fan. She's worked very hard to earn the ticket, three hour drive to and from, and overnight stay at a hotel with her closest friend. Unfortunately, we found out way to late to get meet and greet tickets. so, GA ticketmaster issues had to do.
Being of the mind that "if you don't ask, you don't get," I thought maybe if I was able to meet the right person, I could still buy a couple meet and greet passes to get her in to meet her idols. So, we're hanging around out back where the tour buses are parked and wait. My daughter was pleased to have the chance just to see the band members. She saw Neil first, then Barry, and finally, Adam. Adam popped out not much later and I walked over and asked him for a moment of time. He was very open to my approach which surprised me as on tours like this, many are not accessible. It's not that they don't like their fans, but this has to happen all the time and it is understandable to not want to interrupted outside of the venue.
Anyway, I asked if there was any chance I could take his picture and he said, "Sure!" Without any hesitation or reservation. I said that she was also hoping to see Brad, and he said, well I give him a shout, it should be no problem.
With that all four exited the tour bus and I called my daughter and her friend over to take the picture. Every one of these guys were cordial, open and pleasant! I am sure they are reading this and shaking their heads thinking they were prejudged, but they weren't. You meet enough stars on tour and you get the gist of the mood.
I want to state once again to each one of them, just how much of an impression you made with my daughter. This is a memory that will not be forgotten, by me, her and her best friend.
You guys rock!!
Ok, back to the show.
Skillet, Seether, and BB were focused and executed well. BB seemed as if their PA mix was slightly off, that improved as the show went on. Ill or not, vocals were pulled off and the audience seemed unaffected by the performance given...Still a fantastic show.
I thought that 3DG was very, very good. The sound and lights were spot on, and the individual performances were tight. Brad's mike could have been tweaked a bit more, but the fill was still effective overall. I liked the accoustic interlude with Alice in Chains, and also the Filter insert that followed much later. The only surprising moment of the whole evening is when they didn't come out for an encore. There were several more songs they could have played, but I think their read on the audience, was the same as mine. People were heading out and dying down right after the band headed off stage. Too bad. You never can get too much of a good thing, like 3DG!
I also must mention that I appreciate the energy they put out, night after night. It's not easy to make a song look like it's the perfect time to play and sing it. They really looked like they were having fun. Adam, being the front man was a little too placating towards the audience and came off like a cheerleader at times, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Way to go guys, if you come back to Minneapolis/St. Paul in the future, you can bet that we will be there if at all possilbe.
