The Ultimatum

Let me ask you, what is the ultimate price of success? The ultimate price of failure? Do not both of these carry a steep toll? How far must you go to achieve these things? To what limits must you push the human psyche and strength? How much innocence must you sacrifice in order to bring one man's corrupt nature to the light and justice? Do you sacrifice one nations culture and dignity to destroy and refine anothers barbarism and hate? When you light a flame, do you create more light? Or throw more shadows into the deepest corners of a man's conscience? These are questions that many do not yet have the answer to, but yet questions that carry consequences everybody is intimately familiar with. Let these words speak to you in their own way. One man may not be able to change the world, but he can make the corner he lives in so much better. These times are full of struggle, uncertainty, and vulnerability. So, stand in the face of adversity. Take life in stride. And above all make your corner of this world as great as possible. Live for today, and plan for tommorrow. We are the world, and the future of it. Why not make it as bright as possible?

I agree with you STRONGLY
That was interesting to read (in a good way)
What struck me though was when you said "One man may not be ab;e to change the world, but he can make the corner he lives in so much better"
That ... is interesting. I agree, but sometimes we don't make it better, we sometimes don't try. For those who are happy, and "corners" who are better, we take advantage when we really should look at what we have ...
