I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...

Why am I a fan? That's like asking, for example, why I have brown hair. There is no other possibility, unless i cover it up. But i do not want to cover up having brown hair, nor do would i ever dream of covering up my essential NEED for Three Days Grace!
I must say, I haven't a Three Days Grace fan for an excessive amount of time, but I can guarantee that i am one of the most dedicated and obsessive fans out there.
Three Days Grace to me, it's like oxygen. I wake up, and breathe in oxygen, just as I wake up and think of Three Days Grace. I NEED both.
The worst thing i could do here is sound like just another random fangirl, who likes their sound and thinks Adam is hot. I do NOT want to sound like that. Even though it is true, there is much more too it. More than i could ever explain. But, i'll give it a shot anyways.
Last year, about April 2007, i was watching Much Music, and I was getting intrigued by a certain video that had came up. It was called 'Animal I Have Become', by a band called 'Three Days Grace'. I had never heard of them before, but I turned off my Beyoncé CD(ew i know) and listened to the whole song. I fell in love with it. It was so odd though, because before last year, I never really liked rock(what was I on??). But after hearing Animal I Have Become, I was starting to convert.
A few weeks later, i was listening to the radio, when a very interesting song came on. I listened to it, and immediately loved it. I found out that it was another song by Three Days Grace. I was really liking this band.
A couple months later, in September, i was again watching Much Music. A music video came on, titled 'Never Too Late'. I didn't even have to look at the band name, I automatically recognized it as that Three Days Grace band.
Those three songs became all i listened to for a couple of weeks. I decided then to look up all the songs from this band, because i liked their songs so much. I quickly downloaded all of their songs, and loved all of them. In addition to listening to this new band's music, i was also drawing away from the R&B crap i had liked before. I was being converted to rock.
After loving all the songs off the two Three Days Grace albums, i was curious to know what these talented rockers looked like. Even though i had seen a couple of their videos, i didn't really pay attention to the actual band members. I looked up a few pictures on google, and i noticed the lead singer, Adam Gontier, was very very attractive. So i saved a couple of his pictures to my computer, which i would look at once in a while.
It wasn't until later that i truly listened to the lyrics of the songs. I realized that all the songs related to me in some way, and it was so amazing to me how i could listen to that music, and it would change my emotions. I also realized that the lyrics reminded me of my mom, who passed away in 2005. This music was changing me, to a great extent.

That was last year.
Now, my love for this band has gotten so strong, i know everything about the band.
I know every single one of the cover songs.
Adam Gontier is my hero, and I have about 500 pictures of him.
There is not a day that goes by without me listening to at least, at LEAST 5 of their songs,
There is not a day that goes by without me talking about this band, or Adam Gontier.
I know every single lyric to the songs, and the meaning behind them.
I got MySpace, solely to comment on Adam's page and to make friends who have the same love for this band as i do.
My facebook, myspace, nexopia, and msn are all overflowing with Three Days Grace-ness.
My desktop is always of Adam.
Everything reminds me in some way of Three Days Grace or Adam.
Everyone in my grade and in my family knows about this obsession.
I have been to two concerts, one in January, one recently in June.
For the June concert, i stood in the front row for 5 hours, just to be in the front when they came on.
My life's dream is to meet this band, because they changed me in almost every way.

I fulfilled that dream on June 21st, 2008, at approximately 6:30 pm.
This is the blog I wrote about the Virgin Festival, and how i met Three Days Grace:

i am going to explain to everybody the most amazing day of my life: THE VIRGIN FESTIVAL JUNBE 21ST! also known as...THE DAY I MET ADAM GONTIER FROM THREE DAYS GRACE, MY HEROOOOOOO!!!

first of all, my friend doina, my sister claire, and I went together. my dad drove us in the morning, and we got to the gates of Fort Calgary at about 11:45 am. We waited in line for 20 minutes, and then they started letting people in. We got our tickets scanned, and then we were in! There are 2 stages at Fort Calgary: the TD music stage, and the Virgin Mobile stage. we went to the Virgin stage, where THREE DAYS GRACE would be playing! we were going to walk around the property for a while before the first band came on, but instead we decided to go straight to the stage. hardly anyone was there at first, so the three of us got the very best spots! we sat there for maybe 30 minutes before people started to show up. At 12:50, the first band, Kilbourne, came on. They are from Calgary, and they are 3 girls! When they first came on, i didn't think they'd be that hardcore, but they were a SCREAMO band! they were awesome! the next band came on after them at 1:40, which was The Fratellis. They were also great! they are all scottish, and they all sounded slighty drunk when they were talking! other then that, it was great. more and more people came as each band came on. At 2:50, Face to Face came on. They got a hell of a reaction!! they are a band from the nineties, so we didn't know them, but people in their 20's and 30's sure did! there was a huge mosh pit close to where me, doina and claire were standing. it was great!
after face to face ended, Corb Lund, a country singer, came on at 4:00. But before he came on, as they were setting up, NEIL from three days grace walked along the back of the stage!!!! I WAS SO EXCITED! me, doina, and claire all screamed NEILLLL!!! at the top of our lungs, and he saw us and gave us the rock sign!! it was so exciting! we were so happy that he noticed us! and then a few minutes after that, BRAD from three days grace walked by the stage too!!! we yelled BRAD!! very loudly, and he smiled and waved at us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was shaking so much!!

So Corb Lund seemed to take FOREVERRR to do his performance, and i was getting kinda restless. i mean, it was 4:45, and we'd been standing in the same spot since 12:00! after he FINALLY finished, i started to get verrrrrryyyy excited... because the next band due at 5:10 was THREE DAYS GRACE!!!! people started to come on the stage and set up their stuff, they attached a huge banner saying of course 'Three Days Grace' behind the drum set, it was getting us so pumped! then it took the people working there a really long time to get the guitars and drums at the right volume, blah blah blah. it was now about 5:00, and we were still waiting with extreme anticipation. behind a big...thing, we saw the top of BARRY'S mowhawk, the three days grace guitarist! we yelled his name a few times, and he finally noticed us and smiled at us!!!! it was so cool! i was ECSTATIC.
then....near the back of the stage...i saw a tall, black haired, EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMELY hot figure...and i knew right away who it was.... ADAM GONTIER!!!!! I WENT CRAZY! i started hyperventilating, and everyone was giving me a weird look, but i couldn't help it! i mean, it;s f***ing ADAM GONTIER!! unfortunately, he was too far away to hear me, but i was shaking so much, and my heart was palpitating! FINALLY, at ten after five, the show started. neil walked on stage first, and i went crazy. then brad walked on with his bass, and he got a huuuggee applause as well. then barry came on with his rad guitar...more screaming. finally, adam gontier came on stage, and i went BALLISTIC!! I WAS RIGHT IN THE FRONT ROW AND HE WAS ONLY LIKE 3 METERS AWAY FROM ME!!!! then i started to hear barry play the tune for Riot on his guitar. and then adam started talking!!!!!!! he said hi to calgary, and talked for a bit, while i was screaming his name and 'I LOVE YOU' at the top of my lungs! he said the Calgary was like his 'second f***ing home' because tdg has played here so much!!! then he started to sing riot, and oh my lord, the MOSH PIT was insane!!! we were getting squished against the railing! but everyone went crazy, jumping up and down and moshing with their hands up! this is the order of the songs they played: Riot, Just Like You, I Hate Everything About You, Get Out Alive, Wake Up, Never Too Late, Home, Scared, and Animal I Have Become as the finale. IT WAS f***ING AMAZING! HE WAS 3 METERS IN FRONT OF ME!!! and it was so cool, barry kept looking straight at my friends and I! he even pointed to us when we were singing along to riot!!! IT WAS THE BEST CONCERT EVER. After they finsihed playing, we RAN to the autograph tent, because they were going to be signing autographs in 20 minutes, and we wanted to get there quickly! so we went in the line-up, which wasn't that long when we got there, but it was lengthening quickly after we got in line. we waited for about 25 minutes, then we saw neil, adam, barry and brad walk in from behind the tent!!! neil was wearing a white tee shirt and aviators, which was damn sexy! brad was wearing a blue-ish grey tee-shirt, and sunglasses too, he looked hot! barry was wearing this AWESOME black jacket and black shirt, and eyeliner! but ADAM...adam...HE was wearing dark jeans, a black tee, and a grey vest thing...he looked SO HOT IN WAS UNREAL. his hair was the PERFECT length, like in the 'Pain" video, and he was wearing brown aviators....it was HYPNOTIZING... i didn't think he could be any hotter than the pictures, but he is 20 TIMES MORE BEAUTIFUL IN PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

slowly, the line was moving up. I got my picture ready for them to sign, as the line got shorter. then, it was my turn to go. Neil was first. I shakily handed him the picture, and he signed it. this is our conversation:
Me: H-hi..!!!
Neil(smiling): Hey!
Me: Did you see us wave to you?
Neil: oh, you were in the front right?
Me: Yeah!
Neil: Yep, i saw you.
Me: thanks!!!!!

then, barry was next after Neil. I said hi!! and handed him the picture, he just said hey and smiled =]. not much talking. but he was still really nice!

then.....Adam was after Barry. My heart was beating like 3000 times a minute. i was shaking uncontrollably. this is our conversation:
Me: (hands the picture to adam)h-hh-hhii!!!!!!!!....!!...!!!!
Adam: (smiles BEAUTIFULLY) hey! (signs the picture)
Me: (i bury my face in my hands and start crying) ....th..thank you!!!!!!!!!!! ......
Adam: (LOOKS STRAIGHT INTO MY EYES FOR LIKE 5 SECONDS BECAUSE HE SAW I WAS CRYING) no problem, your very welcome.
THAT MOMENT WHEN HE LOOKED ME IN THE EYES WAS THE BEST MOMENT OF MY ENTIRE DAMN LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE IS MY HERO AND I HAD JUST THEN FULFILLED MY LIFE LONG DREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

brad was after adam. this is our convo:
Me:(hands the picture) Hi!!
Brad: Hey, how are ya?
Me: G-good! did you see me in the front?
Brad: Yeah, i did! (Hands back the picture smiling)
Me: Thanks you!
Brad: Yeah, nice to meet you (shakes my hand)

i sprinted out of the tent where my sister was standing...and i SCREAMED with her at the top of my lungs, and i was running around crying, with this HUGGGEEEE grin on my face! everyone looked at me smiling because they obviosuly saw how f***ing ECSTATIC i was because i had just met my HEROS! then a lady took a picture of us, and i was smiling so big that my cheeks hurt!!!

we were so tired after that, so we bought t-shirts and sat on the grass for a bit while the flaming lips finished playing. then, we called my dad to pick us up because we were extremely tired. even though Stone Temple Pilots we due to play next, we were too flustered from meeting THREE DAYS GRACE. so we kinda wanted to go home.
guys.....i will never be the same again. because my dream became a reality that day....it will be plastered inside my brain FOREVER...
