Libby was apprehensive, edgy, jittery and any other synonyms for nervous you can think of. She knew what they were going to say, but she just didn't want to hear it.

Eve finished writing in her notebook and set it down beside her. A sigh escaped her dry lips as she thought about the day ahead. She felt nervous and she knew if she didn't get adopted now, she would be in this place forever. The place she was talking about was the "house" she lived in. Eight kids lived there, along with three adults.

"Adam, are you sure that this is a good idea?" Neil asked, as he tried to catch up with Adam. Adam nodded, the smile still plastered onto his pale face.
Neil narrowed his eyes. He didn't exactly agree with what Adam was about to do, but decided it best for him. Neil had no idea why though.

He continued to walk beside Adam as they walked to Adam's car. It was a chilly day in late March and Neil regretted not having a coat.

Well, if you're wondering about the title, it's a lyric from one of my current favorite songs. Cat and Mouse - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. They're not exactly my favorite band, because if they were, I wouldn't be on this site. *rolls eyes*
